My name is Catherine. I live in Rochester, NY. I’m a baker/cake decorator, mom of 2 little kids and a humanitarian. I run this social media page to fundraise for my dear friends in Gaza.

Hamed is a 20 year old young man from Gaza who dreamed of attending university and studying e-commerce, digital marketing, and cybersecurity. With a GPA of 80, Hamed had a bright future ahead of him. However, since the genocide in Gaza, Hamed’s future remains uncertain.

Hamed is responsible for his family of 9 which consists of his father, mother, brother and sisters. His father suffers from nerve damage due to the torture he was subjected to by the Israeli occupation army while falsely imprisoned for 4 years before the war. His father requires medication to manage this chronic condition. His older brother was also injured in his foot and head. Now that it is winter, Hamed and his family go to bed cold. Waiting in crushing lines for bread and walking miles for water. Hamed has also suffered the loss of family members including his aunt and uncle and their children.

Despite all of this, Hamed still finds a way to not only smile but to also make the children of Gaza smile. He regularly helps entertain the children in the Nuseriat area of the Gaza Strip where he and his family have been displaced to.

Like many in Gaza, Hamed has never had a fundraising campaign before. It is an honor for me to help him and his family now finally find support and sponsorship and hopefully ensure they once again have a chance at a bright future.

URGENT UPDATE: Hamed’s Situation in Gaza Is Now Critical

Dear friends and ,

First — thank you.

Thank you for showing up when it mattered most.

When you donated, you stood with Hamed in Gaza.

You stood with Palestine.

You showed solidarity, you showed compassion, and most of all, you showed that you care.

We need that again — urgently. We need it multiplied tenfold.

Hamed is just 20 years old, but he’s carrying the weight of the world.

He became well known on social media — not for complaining, but for his smile.

Always smiling. Always laughing. Always finding light in the face of severe adversity.

But that smile is gone.

Hamed has nothing to smile about anymore.

The light in his eyes has dimmed.

He’s losing hope.

He’s losing the will for life, the thirst for life.

His world is collapsing, and he’s struggling to hold on.

Today, he is the sole provider for 11 people. His brother just married, and his new wife is now part of the household. After an airstrike destroyed their home, his grandmother and aunt have also come to live with him — all now crammed together in a tent.

There has been no humanitarian aid in Gaza for over three months.

Shops are bare, and prices are soaring beyond reason.

Flour costs more than families can afford. Milk, vegetables, even bread — if they can be found — are out of reach.

His younger siblings — just five years old — have had no milk, no calcium, no vitamins for months. They are growing weaker every day.

This is a humanitarian emergency.

If you’ve already donated — thank you. You’ve made a life-saving difference.

But we ask you — with urgency in our hearts:

Please, donate again if you can.

Please, share Hamed’s link with your friends, family, and wider community.

Every euro, every dollar, every share matters.

This is survival.

Your solidarity is hope.

Your compassion is light.

Your action is life.

With gratitude and urgency,

– The campaign team for Hamed in Gaza
